Who to See for Eating Disorder Treatment Well, certainly somebody who knows about eating disorders, but somebody who knows women, somebody who knows what normal human development is. Someone who knows what the pressures and challenges are for a woman today, that changes every decade, every half a decade lately, and who understands what kind of difficulties, what kind of avoidance a healthy woman needs to make in order to survive in the culture today. So, no ivory towers for eating disorders, not for eating disorder treatment. You have to be in the world with the human beings and with what’s actually going on in the world that our patients are dealing with everyday.
