Anne: My name is Anne from Cerritos, and my question is if you having a problem with your children using drugs where do you go to get help? Mark Riddle: Anne, that's a really important question. If you know that your youngster is using illegal drugs, its time to act. I would start with a heart to heart talk with her, be very clear that you need to know what's going on, what are the drugs, how often, how much, who with, when and where? Then if she cant stop on her own, this is the behavior that you are going to have to help her stop. It may not be easy but there are professionals who can help. I would suggest you start with your pediatrician, who can refer you to professionals who are specialized in adolescent substance abuse problem.
