Brad Barnett: If your parents get denied the Parent PLUS loan, they don’t just qualify because of their credit, then you want to talk to the financial aid office. In some cases they can offer you additional unsubsidized Stafford loan money. Now, it won’t be as much as the PLUS loan but it is something to try to help you out.
