Male1: Essential information from Fine Living. Male2: When bringing food to a thanksgiving dinner, I'm pretty much assured that all the traditional type of dishes will be there. In that case, I think you should try and do something a little bit original. Maybe a family recipe that your mother passed down. Something that reflects your tradition, your heritage is a great dish to bring. I would definitely recommend that you bring in something that looks pretty. If you're going to bring a casserole, it should be in a real beautiful, festive casserole dish. If you're going to bring a salad as supposed to bringing in a metal bowl, bring it in a real beautiful ceramic bowl that could sit on a table. Definitely tell the host what you're going to bring. So, I like to let her know, if I'm going to need oven space. If I'm going to need to do something on a mixing bowl or something like that. Those are the things that they're not expecting. If you're going to bring something hot then use a sauce, the sauce should definitely be on the side. If I’m bringing in a cold dish, that needs to be dressed. I’ll bring the dressing on the side and I’ll toss it right before it goes out to the table. Male1: Find more at FineLiving.com.
