Audra: Welcome back everybody its time for hot topics, we got Matt Bean back with us again. He’s a brand editor over at men’s magazine and also just found out you’re a singer too. You can do a little singing on the side right, exactly, I’m going to have that song on my head all day long I swear. Okay we got to talk about hair. Matt: Let’s talk about it. Audra: I know you talk about everything in the magazine from males perspective, Yahoo showing did a little bit of a survey and they went out and ask a hundred guys what they think about women’s hair, because women don’t think that guys really pay attention to what we do in terms of different styles but they were surprised by the results and I would love to know what you think. Do you care though if a girl styles their hair the same way every single day? Does it matter to you? Matt: I don’t care. Audra: No. Matt: I don’t care if the girl does their hair different way everyday, long as she’s happy and confident about it. That’s the thing about a woman’s hair that a smart guy will learn. Audra: Look at this, dropping some knowledge here. Matt: Because the woman’s happy with her hair, she’ll be happy with you and if she’s not happy with her hair and watch out. Audra: I like that, okay I got to write that down. You’re right 71 percent of the guys did say that they don’t care, 29 percent said they want her to style a little bit differently but if it looks good I guess there are alright with it. What about hair up or hair down? Matt: I’m a ponytail guy. Audra: You love ponytails? Matt: You know what I like the Presto change to maybe when you’re on a date and there’s the ponytail look and all of a sudden you know the Claire ole, shaking outlook. Audra: Oh really. Matt: Happens I mean girls can be chameleons on that sense of that they got long hair, they can change between two different totally different looks and blow a guys mind in two separate ways and guys cant do that. What am I going to do like go to the bathroom and put some gel in my hair and come back? Audra: Then on the other side, so now is it the style or is it the actual being able to go from the ponytail to a different style that you like? And I’m asking this for reason. Matt: Well just technically I like the ponytail. Audra: Okay. Matt: But I do think there is something about the difference, it’s like a guy changes from a casual business shirt into a suite or vice versa. I mean it’s like a complete transformation. Audra: You’re such a total man, listen to this the guy it’s actually said the action that matters a little bit more as opposed to whether she wears up or down. 43 percent of the guys said that they love watching the girl put her hair up, 37 percent said that they enjoy her letting her hair down and 20 percent said equally as hot. They don’t care, that’s very interesting. Very consistent at least here, what about the symmetrical hair cut hair cuts, you like them? Matt: I think they’re cool, I like a little bit edge to it, I like bangs you know its cool. Whenever the hair cut is, it has to match the personality so you know my mom comes back which is like she’s got some crimpers and like it is symmetrical. Audra: Alright. Matt: And it’s not probably not going to work but. Audra: So you don’t like the Kate Gasoline look, the before look I say. Matt: I don’t know, it looks like a hair blew of the back of her head and hair explosion or something. Audra: The after is a lot better. Matt: And everybody is sort of copying her too. Audra: Yeah they do, actually 79 percent of people said that they were talking about the hairstyle that they do like the asymmetrical look so if it looks good I guess it works too. Now last question I want to ask you is about long hair, now a lot of guys will say that they do prefer women that have long hair but is there a cut off, do you care if she has long hair, lets say its right here or if it goes extra, extra long. How long is too long and how do you feel about long hair? Matt: I love long hair, I don’t think it make sense when it’s down on your knee caps, I mean. Audra: Cruella Devil look. Matt: Or anyway the name scares me. Audra: Lauren Conrad though, she was one example, they did say that they like when her hair stopped at a certain point as supposed to getting too long and I guess guys don’t like that. Matt: I don’t mind when it’s a little bit longer but it gets a little extreme when it’s hidden down to your waste and stuff. I think hair length is an interesting one because the more attitude that you have, the shorter your hair can be. You know I think like you go GI Jane style, Demi Moore, you really have to be tough to pull that off. Audra: We got to talk to Matt a little bit more especially during our hair make over segments, you got to come back. Matt: I’ll be here. Audra: Thank you so much Matt good to have you here, stay with us we’ll be right back after this.
