Visit the Great Dune of Pilat in France Hi, I'm Naomi and I'm very excited to show you the world’s greatest attractions. This massive sand hill seems like it should be in the middle of the dessert but in fact, the Great Dune of Pilat is located on the west coast of France. This enormous sand hill is roughly two miles long and 300 feet tall. It’s one of the most popular recreational areas on the French coast. The Great Dune and its beach are a great spot to tan, picnic, swim or play or merely spend the afternoon on top of the Dune and catch a beautiful seaside sunset.
