Shea: Hi, my name is Shea. I’m from Elkton, Kentucky. My question is my child goes to school for the first time this year what special shots are vaccination does she need? Rachel Dodge: Hi, Shea so most kids need about four booster shots before they enter school. Those booster shots include one that’s called MMR, which is to protect against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella also known as germen measles. Another one is for Veracilla, which is to protect against chickenpox. Another one is for polio which is to protect against polio, which is a disease that can cause paralysis and the last one is for DTaP, which is to protect against diphtheria, tetanus also know as laokjaw and pertussis know as whooping cough.
