George: I’m here at the Mosimann Club in Belgraavia to meet Colin from U Luvka Vodka. He’s going to whip us up some spectacular cocktails for the big day. Now today I believe you’re going to be making us three stunning cocktails for the big day. Is that right? Colin Asare-Appiah: Today I’m going to make you a cocktail called Pure Luvka which is Dry Vermouth and U Luvka vodka. I’m going to make you another cocktail called a True Luvka, which is color of true love being red but then we’ve got a beautiful cocktail, which is called The Sun and Moon. Okay, Pure Luvka, so what I’ve done there is I just put a little splash of Dry Vermouth and I’m going to use the bar spoon and then just the, and all I’ve done is just wash the ice with Vermouth. Can you sniff? Can you smell? Yes and you’ve got that really nice aromatic Vermouth flavor just over the ice. I’ll strain all of that away. Now a large measure of U Luvka, that’s a perfect measure. Now what I’m going to do is just zest. If you come closer you’ll see the oils formed on to the top of the actual liquid. Did you see that? George: Yes. Colin Asare-Appiah: Because it raymatizes the actual cocktail, so please try it, it’s the Pure Luvka. George: That is beautiful. What a kick? Colin Asare-Appiah: On Cocktail Number 2, you’ll be that special once you try this one. This cocktail is called True Luvka and the color of true love being red. So we’re going to use a Red Vermouth and once again, just a little washes, may be a little teaspoon of sweet Vermouth. Martini also is fine. I use different zest with this and it’s a nice orange zest. Once again, you just peel it. It’s a beautiful orange actually, I love this. And then once again you just release the ooze over the drink. George: It’s very delicate but you can really taste that detail in the drink. Colin Asare-Appiah: Okay and now, try that. The third cocktail is called The Sun and Moon and the idea of this cocktail is Sage, fresh lime, a little bit of sugar, cleansing of U Luvka sweetened with fresh pineapple. So let me start, what I do is six to eight sage leaves and then I’ll add a little bit of this concentrated sugar salt. Do you smell that? You get the real sent of the sage. George: Wow, it’s so real kick isn’t it? Colin Asare-Appiah: Yes. George: Lovely. Colin Asare-Appiah: It’s a real scent to your nose and now temper slightly with just a juice of lime. Now I’ve just put a large measure of this pineapple, fresh pineapple in here which I’ve just taken the pulp out, get as a little sweetness as well and then of course, the last ingredient. George: In it goes. Colin Asare-Appiah: Now this cocktail, as a finish, you can charge it with champagne or you can just top it with soda. I’m going to use soda, but of course for wedding party, champagne will be absolutely applicable. George: Cocktail Number 3, Sun and Moon, I think perfect, for the Honeymoon.
