More than 20,000 confidential Boy Scout documents on alleged child sex abusers were released to the public Thursday. The so-called "perversion filea" identify more than 1,000 scout leaders and volunteers who were banned from the organization after they were accused of sexual or inappropriate conduct with boys. The internal files do not contain the names of victims or witnesses. The "ineligible volunteer files" are from 1965 through 1985.
