What is a print-on-demand publisher and their requirements? Print-on-demand publishers have become more numerous during the past decade. They essentially provide short run copies of a book. They have some services available to an author in terms of formatting it and getting it printed in the manner that the author desires. Their typical requirement is the author has to provide a computer file of the entire book including the cover and like printers, the author pays to get the work published.
