Before I mentioned Buddy Rich, who was “Traps the Boy Wonder”, traps the boy wonder wasn’t a boy anymore. He became a monster of drummer and to this day is still known as the greatest drummer to ever live. He had more speed, power, control, creativity and ability than anybody else until he was an old man and people started to catch up to him. Buddy Rich I guess left his legacy off to such drummers as Dennis Chambers, Billy Cobham, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, among many other names which you can probably check out on drummerworld.com, which is a website that I tell all my students to frequent as much as possible. And it has a list of all the great drummers of all time, today and in the past, and you can watch their videos and their explanations on how they do things. And today, I’m going to give you my explanation on how I do certain things, too.
