Transcript

The most likely time in your cycle to get pregnant is right around the time of ovulation, and in a healthy regulated menstrual cycle, which would be approximately 28 days, ovulation happens half way. So it happens between usually day 14 to 16 and the thing to know is that ovulation is not just that you have to aim for one single day or one single hour. It’s really that it takes a couple of days for the eggs once it’s ovulated to travel, and sperm lives from three to five days, they can survive for three to five days. So it actually expands the time where you could potentially get pregnant to really about a week. If you include the days before you ovulate and the days after you ovulate, there’s really a good week that you could get pregnant, and it’s that week right in the middle, so it would be basically day 10 to 17 or so, Day 1 being the first day of your period. So you start with day 1 being the first day of your period, not the last day of your period. First day of your period is day 1 and then you can count on a calendar out to between day 10 and 17.
