When I graduated from college, I got a fellowship to travel around the world and study experimental puppet theater. It's a really interesting art form because every culture has their own sort of form of puppetry. So wherever you go, you can find sort of pretty deep history about that kind of art form. So, I've always thought that that was interesting. And to me, it does relate to my work and passion as a stylist like you're creating a world, you're putting people in it, you're dressing them, you're moving them around. When I finally decided I wanted to go work on the magazine, I interviewed at ‘Karminas’ and when I interviewed the next day for a new magazine that they were launching cool teen vogue and I got that job so that was my start. When I worked at Nylon, I did a fashion story with Ashley Olson and we did a denim story with her. So, all the looks had to have jeans of some kind. So, we kind of did every version of denim you can possibly imagine and she is just such a cool girl and she really knows and loves and understands fashion. I really loved working with Michelle Williams. She looked beautiful on the clothes. She brought her daughter to the set and she's just such a great mom. And the pictures from that day are still some of my absolute favorite pictures in my portfolio. I don’t shop. I’m just kidding. For jeans, I wear APC. For like dresses, I wear Karen Walker and Phillip Lim and—and in fact that’s something I’ll mix a lot. My winter coat is Balenciaga. My handbags are Chanel and I’ll really wear anything that’s Burberry. I love Burberry. I've been really incredibly fortunate in my career to work for people who have so much to offer.
