Sarah Jessica Parker is known for her ever changing looks and memorable hairstyles. BellaTV chats with her personal hairstylist on the set of Sex & the City to hear how her look has changed through the years and her favorite hairstyles from the new movie. Want more behind the scenes scoop on SATC?

Zelana: Sarah Jessica Parker’s personal hairstylist from the sex in the city series and films takes us to her hair solution from past to present. Mandy: Through most of the show it was down and it was have a biggish curly hair and then of course a band and the way that it is really evolved in the sex in the city two, Its has become a lot more sophisticated, there still playfulness there that she’s bolder, she’s grown up. Zelana: And would you say that translates to her character in the new movie? Mandy: Absolutely, yeah. Its when I read the script in the first one and the second one is there's much going on that’s bringing so into about 40’s, you know not in the 20’s anymore its very subtle but it’s the way I like to work. Zelana: What are some of Carey’s classic go to hair styles? Mandy: I think the most obvious one would be her own hair. I have to create different ways of making her wave, quick, messy bonds. Some of them are high on the head, some are on the back, some are low, a lot of time there’s a lot of texture. We also do a lot ponytail that’s very easy playing on textures around the root area what I might make it shinny at the hair line and then go to a very dry looking pony tail. A lot will go to as always been Belle de Jour, Catherine Denomes’ hair do in that movie. It’s pulled back from the center of the eye back to the crown and that’s smooth and pulled off the face and then you get a lot of waves and rest of the hairs down. The thing that’s most difficult to do is a ponytail, believe it or not. It’s not just simple to do for film and its look like the easiest thing to do but it’s actually not. Zelana: Tell us about you favorite styles that you created for the movie and in general. Mandy: Just doing things spontaneous like some of it are bonds its not planned out, they just go out the way they go out and I grab hair pieces and throw them in and I’ve always enjoy showing the pins that I’m using, I don’t want things to look perfect. I’d like to think it something that you can do it at home. I hope that you like the hair styles that I’ve done it was very exciting, it was a lot fun and I too can’t wait to see you on the big screen. Zelana: That was great.
