A bible from the Holy Trinity Church in Hastings, England was stolen from the church 42 years ago. But it was recently mailed back — along with a note of apology. The anonymous thief turned out to be a German man who traveled to Hastings with his wife in 1971 for English lessons. Unhappy with the lesson quality, the man took a church bible home with him to supplement his vocabulary. But he never got around to studying it, and after 42 guilty years the man decided to send the book back.
