Tamara Mellon, the founder of Jimmy Choo shoes gives Hollyscoop an exclusive sneak peak at the Jimmy Choo for H&M collection, which is set to hit stores on November 14th. The collection will include shoes, handbags, women's clothing, men's clothing and women's accessories.

Ani Esmailian: This is Ani. I’m here with Hollyscoop and we are here with Tamara Mellon who is the founder and brain behind Jimmy Choo. Thanks for having us today. Tamara Mellon: Thank you. I’m so pleased to meet you. Ani Esmailian: Likewise. You’re going to give us an exclusive sneak peak as to what’s coming to H&M soon, right? Tamara Mellon: This is coming out on November the 14th and this is the Jimmy Choo collection for H&M. They’ve never done the collaboration with accessories before, so they approached us. Then this continued on and we decided to create the whole Jimmy Choo women’s. So, we created the whole look with clothes and jewelry and shoes and bag. Ani Esmailian: And men’s collection too. Tamara Mellon: And for men as well. Ani Esmailian: Why did you decided to collaborate with H&M? Tamara Mellon: They approached us and I thought it was such a fun idea and I really respect to the collaborations they’ve done before and it was a fun challenge for me to do clothes as well. Ani Esmailian: How is this going to be different in than the regular Jimmy Choo collection that you put out every year? Tamara Mellon: Well, this is created the whole Jimmy Choo woman for H&M, so we created the whole look. So, it’s very different in the fact that it’s got jewelry and clothes and you can really mix the collection all different ways and that was also fun in creating it. Ani Esmailian: I noticed the trends are leather. There’s a lot of French, a lot of studs, tell me about that. Tamara Mellon: Well, we really wanted to put the DNA of Jimmy Choo into this collaboration and the trend this winter are a lot of black leather, a lot of studs, a lot of animal print in sequence and all those things are very Jimmy Choo anyway, so you’ll see a lot that in H&M collection. Ani Esmailian: If you can pick just one shoe out of the H&M collection, which one would you pick? Tamara Mellon: Oh, that is so tough. I don’t know which one I’d pick. I always love a bit of animal print, so I’d probably pick this one and this is amazing shoe. This is $129.00. Ani Esmailian: Let’s go through the price point. The ones you’re wearing that I absolutely adore. Tamara Mellon: The ones I’m wearing, these are $99.00 and so is the bag. These are $129.00 and the platforms, these are $129.00 as well. The boots are $149.00. This bag is $199.00 and then you can really fun if you have your favorite little black dress, a really fun thing to do is to put the zebra bag with it. Ani Esmailian: Right. And the dress you’re wearing actually Demi Moore was wearing that dress recently, right? Tamara Mellon: Demi Moore wore this dress and she looked so amazing in it. Ani Esmailian: As you. Tamara Mellon: Thank you. So, this is a sway dress. This is $249.00 and the great thing about this dress, this can take you from day to night and it’s got a beautiful scoop back and it’s really fun if you put it with studded blouse. Another big trend for this winter is the over the knee boot, so we have this fantastic leather ones. Ani Esmailian: And of course the sequence jacket. Tamara Mellon: This is cashmere with hand embroidered sequence for $129.00. This is the sway dress and this is $249.00. Ani Esmailian: Now, if two more had to splurge on one big item, what would you recommend? Because I know these are going to go quick, right? Tamara Mellon: Well, in shoes and bags I’d get these studded day bag. For shoes, I’d get something with animal print, the cheetah or the zebra print and for the dress, I think I would go for the French dress. Ani Esmailian: And then what can we expect from you that coming year? Tamara Mellon: Well, we’re still going to continue to roll out stores. We’re bringing out a new collection called Choo 24:7 which is investment pieces that every woman needs to have in their closet in especially hot economic times that we have, the pieces that women can rely on over and over again. It’s part of the Jimmy Choo core price range but also if you find your favorite shoe, you will produce it in many different color leathers and materials, so you can coming back and investing in it. This for, I would to get over the knee boot. I think that’s one of the big trends for this fall. Ani Esmailian: How about clothing wise? Tamara Mellon: Clothing wise? I would have something in black leather whether I buy black leather leggings or a jacket or a dress. The black leather dress has been huge this fall. For gift items this fall, I would get some of the wallets that we have in the collection. I think they’re great pieces or some of the bracelets that come in at $34.00.
