Sex and the City 2 Makeovers: Carrie Ali Skye Bennett: My name is Ali Skye Bennett and I'm a Carrie. I definitely want a Carrie makeover because she somehow knows how to flip the whole things together and that’s something I really need to cope with. I like to emulate my inner Carrie. Carrie is creative and bold with her choices in life and her passion choices. I love her hair. I love her clothes. I think I can really rock out in some Carrie gear. David Lopez: So, Ali I think I can guess who we’re going for today. Ali Skye Bennett: Is it that obvious? David Lopez: Right, a Carrie inspired look. Ali Skye Bennett: Okay. David Lopez: What is it -- why do you want this Carrie makeover? Ali Skye Bennett: I think Carrie is often really bold in her fashion choices and she always looks fabulous, but it always looks very effortless. David Lopez: So, Ali I think we’re ready to bring out some of that boldness and some of that chicnesses and sexiness all today. Ali Skye Bennett: Yeah. David Lopez: I think we can do it. Are you ready? Ali Skye Bennett: I'm ready. David Lopez: Let's go for it. Ali Skye Bennett: Okay. David Lopez: All right. Let's talk about the hair cut. What we’re going to do is just clean up the ends and make everything look nice and fresh. Second, we’re going to go in for the color. All I need to do is really break up this crown area right here, bring out some of the brightness where your eyes really pop and your skin tone really glows. Last but not the least is the style. You already have the great curl pattern going on but why don’t we kick it up and show you a little bit more of a polished look that you can take from day to night. It’s smooth but it’s a little bit on the wild side. Ali Skye Bennett: Yeah. David Lopez: Just like Carrie right. Jennifer Fleming: So, what we want to do, since you're going for Carrie inspired look is emulate her style by rocking a smoky eye. The easiest way to a smoky eye is to start with your eyeliner pencil. You don’t have to be perfect with it and smudge. Open it for me. Beautiful! So, what we’re going to do is take this beautiful bronze color with a little bit of shimmer because Carrie definitely can handle shimmer. So, you're going to take your eyeliner and just go to town. Beautiful, so gorgeous girl! Last step in your smoky eye, tons of mascara. One thing that Carrie always had was a pale, beautiful, pinky lips. Press for me, mah. Perfect! Jorge Ramon: What is it that you love about Carrie’s style? Ali Skye Bennett: Everything she wears is really bold. Her style is sometimes kind of Bohemian, kind of flowy but yet she always looks really sexy if you put together. Jorge Ramon: So, I want to talk to you all that but with this incredible dress. All the pleating really gives it a great movement. It’s super sexy in its way. This color is incredibly bold. It really just says, “Look at me.” This silver Lurex is unbelievable. Do you love that shimmer or what? Ali Skye Bennett: You know I love the shimmer and I love this dress but the shimmer might be a little bit too much for me. Jorge Ramon: Well, never fear. I have picked out an incredible dress for you and I'm dying to see you in it. Ali Skye Bennett: Okay. I can't wait to see it. Jorge Ramon: Ali, come on out. Let's see the new look. Aw! Wow! Ali Skye Bennett: Oh, my God! It’s fabulous! I love this look. I feel beautiful. Jorge Ramon: I think we really hit a Carrie Bradshaw inspired look. Ali Skye Bennett: Definitely. Jorge Ramon: We got the bold color, the incredible movement, the sexiness. We cannot talk fabulous Carrie Bradshaw fashion without talking about the shoes! Here is the Piesto Resisto because this really brings in the metallic of the bracelets and the accessories, the color of the dress, it’s really strong, it’s really punchy and this is what makes a Carrie Bradshaw look. Ali Skye Bennett: I love the women of Sex and the City. They are very confident in who they are and so, I feel a little bit more confident in taking on some colors and bold fashion choices, maybe doing some things that are outside of my comfort zone a little bit. It’s good to take a little risk sometimes and that’s kind of what life is all about.
