I am Linda from San Jose, California. Is there special schooling available for children with ADD or ADHD and if so, is that really necessary? Linda, let's talk a little bit about your question which is schooling for kids with ADHD. Children with ADHD don't necessarily need to be educated in the special classroom. The vast majority of kids if they are in treatment and have their ADHD symptoms under good control can be in a regular classroom with all the other kids. There are some children with ADHD who have learning disabilities; sometimes those kids need special educational services for their learning disabilities not for their ADHD and then there are sometimes where kids have severe ADHD that's not responsive to treatment and severe learning disabilities and sometimes those kids actually are in special classrooms or even in special schools.
