When shopping online, looking at comparison sites may help you see if what you want to purchase is worth the money. Let’s say you found this blender at amazon.com. The first thing you would want to look at are the reviews that other customers have left about the item. On most online stores, there will be a place for customer reviews usually with some sort of a rating system. Here, the reviews are broken down by 5 to 1 star reviews. And you can click on each star rating to see what the reviewers have to say about the product. Now, let’s say I wanted to purchase this digital camera. Besides reviews on the website, there are also reputable review sites like consumerreports.org where you can plug in the name of the item and then see whether or not it is consumer reports tested. On this product page, we’ll be able to see the great consumerreports has given the item. You must be a subscriber in order to see these results. There are also customer reviews here as well. You can do this for all sorts of products and it’s very useful especially if you’re thinking of making an expensive purchase.
