A runner reaches the 100,000 mile mark. There are many athletic souls out there. However, some accomplishments are jaw-dropping.One of those extreme athletes is 56-year-old, Mike Fanelli who recently accomplished a major feat. He has run 100,000 miles so far in his life, which equates to running around the world more than 4 times. He hit that mark approximately halfway through the 26 mile Philadelphia Marathon. He earns a living as a real estate agent but claims that running is his passion.

However, some accomplishments are jaw-dropping.One of those extreme athletes is 56-year-old, Mike Fanelli who recently accomplished a major feat. He has run 100,000 miles so far in his life, which equates to running around the world more than 4 times. He hit that mark approximately halfway through the 26 mile Philadelphia Marathon. He earns a living as a real estate agent but claims that running is his passion. In a little over 40 years, he has run roughly 800 races and kept detailed records in each of his running escapades. Fanelli states “Some people say I'm compulsive," But I say it's more just competitive I can do a lot of my very best thinking when I'm running.” Earlier this year, another runner,51-year-old Tom Denniss from Australia set out to cover 18000 miles.The journey would entail 700 marathons in 700 days. Denniss has covered most of the United States and New Zealand in his marathon thus far, running approximately 30 miles per day.
