Jeanpier Silvera went missing for about a day before being found in the shaft in Barranquilla on Wednesday. The rescue was caught on video, in which rescue workers can be seen pulling the lid off the sewer shaft. The little boy can be seen trying to keep his head above the sewage water as a rescue worker goes inside the shaft to bring the boy out. An ambulance was standing by to take him to hospital. Karen Trom, a Civil Defence worker, said: "Thanks to god he's OK. We found him and the kid is OK. He is a bit dirty, but he is OK, thank god."
