According to the Chinese lunar calendar, 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, therefore newborns this year are known as "dragon babies." Since the dragon symbolizes auspiciousness and nobility in China, numerous young couples are determined to have a baby this year, which has created a new round of baby boom. The baby boy, who weighs 7.04 kilograms, born yesterday at the Xinxiang Maternity Hospital surprised his parents as well as the nurses and doctors. According to the hospital, the baby's weight set a new record in Xinxiang, and it is even rarely seen around the country or the whole world.
