Transcript

Male: It’s all about location with this mistake, planting in the wrong place. Justin Cave: Improper plant placement, this is another one of the most common mistakes, hands down. Carmen de la Paz: People will often make the mistake of not taking into consideration sunlight and exposure for their plants. Tiger Palafox: A lot of people don’t realize you know you can’t plant a full sun plant in the shade because it’s going to get over watered and it’s not going to bloom. Carmen de la Paz: Full shade, full sun, filtered light, look at the little tag that you get when you buy the plant. Christine Springett: Some of the plants have what we call a horizontal habit and there is what we call a little more of a vertical habit so you’ll want to space accordingly. Dawson Connor: Tree roots are a problem especially if they’re too close to your home. If you plant it too close to the house, you’re in for trouble. Nick Stevens: If you’ve got tree roots coming up through your living room floor, maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to put an elm two feet away from your house. Call me crazy. Tiger Palafox: So whenever it comes of planting trees, you need to remember how big they’re going to get and how much space they’re going to need. When you’re thinking about placing your plants, think about focal points for your yard as well. You need to choose something that’s going to look good year around. Male: So don’t plant in the wrong place but do research the best spot to grow your plant.
