Brad: Hi, I'm Brad from Boston. I smoke regularly in my house, I have a dog and I like to know will she be affected my second hand smoke? Kathy Garret: Well Brad, that's a really god question nobody has ever asked me that question but it's just so happens that recently there was a study out I think it's from Tufts University and cats who had been exposed to second smoke for 5 years or more had more than doubled the chance of getting fever and leukemia. So essentially the answer to your question is yes your dog can be affected any animal that breathe is affected by second hand smoke.
