Yeonpyeing Island, South Korea was struck in November by North Korean artillery shells sending the residents into bunkers and sparking a regional crisis. All but 100 of the 1400 residents have fled to the mainland amid fears of violence. the residential area of this island is left looking like a ghost town with marines patrolling the perimeter and only 100 residents left.
