Nintendo Sells Big on Black Friday - IGN Daily Fix: 11.29.2010 Jessica Chobot: What’s up guys Jess back with your fix for a cyber Monday November 29th. I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving and none of you were trampled to death while trying to shop last weekend. Now on to the headlines, good news for you Assassins out there a new Assassin’s creed will be hitting stores in 2011. Ubisoft Marketing Chief Jeffrey Sardine confirmed the news but didn’t say where or when the game will take place. So far the series has taken us through the crusades, renaissance Italy and communist Russia if you’ve read the comics so the next setting really could be anywhere even Wisconsin but probably not. Also as a side note we still don’t know if this is actually Assassin’s Creed 3 or just a side adventure I will make sure and keep you posted. Now Nintendo had a happy Thanksgiving, last week the company sold 600,000 Wii consuls and around 900,000 DS systems. Apparently U.S shoppers bought 9000 Nintendo Systems every hour. I’m not quite sure if that’s how it actually went down but we’re going to just go with it. In comparison Nintendo sold 550,000 Wii and 1 million DS systems last year during the same time period. Now pay attention Yakuza fans developers behind Yakuza are currently working on a new game called a binary domain a game that they hope will appeal to people outside of Japan. Perhaps the Japanese Mafia isn’t that appealing to Western Gamer’s. At any rate binary domain is set in Tokyo in the year 2080 and is about the never ending struggle between man and robot because there’s nothing Japanese about that at all. Not much more is known except that the game will hit both the PS3 and the XBOX 360 so make sure and check back on December 1st when IGN gets a first look at it. Finally congratulations to champion 1 skater our lucky winner of last week’s giveaway. Hit suggestions for a Macy Thanksgiving Day Parade Float Master Chief T bagging a PS3 that’s honestly something that – doesn’t really need to see in giant globe form but regardless enjoy your copy of the Halo reach legendary edition and that’s your fix for November 29, 2010 I’m Jessica Chobot and be sure to get your fix any time online here at IGN.com.
