Newell's now have 28 points, 2 points more than Lanus who play Independiente on Sunday (May 12). The visitors opened the scoring in the 24th minute through Mauro Obolo's left-footed close range effort that went under Newells goalkeeper Nahuel Guzman. But four minutes later, Newell's equalised with Ignacio Scocco's long range free kick.
