Hi, James Wetmore here with bartendforprofit.com and another mobile bartending tip of the week for you. This week, we’re going to be discussing what I'm calling your bartending calendar. Now here is the first thing you need to realize is that mobile bartending, your business, your industry is vey seasonal. What does that mean? It means that there are going to be times of the year we ere busier than other times. We’re going to ahead and I'll explain to you some of the dates to give you an idea so you're prepared for that. The other thing we’re going to be talking about, I don’t know just address it right now is that one of the miraculous benefits of mobile bartending is that you can make fulltime hours or wages based on part time hours. So, you can make a ton of money for only working to few hours a week. Your number one most in demand day or night for an event is going to be a Saturday night. If it's a house party or anything of that nature, people love to throw their parties on a Saturday. Why, because the last thing they want to do is come home from work on a Friday and rush to get ready for their party in two hours. Okay, so most of your parties re going to be on Saturday. Prepare for that. If you get Friday parties, that's fantastic. It's mostly going to be corporate events or you know some type of party of that nature. But most of your house parties, Saturday night, that's when you should be booked every single weekend. Now as far as your mobile bartending calendar, which months, which seasons keep you busy? Which ones keep you not so busy? Well, let’s start with the spring. Spring time is when a lot of the weddings coming. Weddings are going to be your most lucrative types of events. A ton of people, you know 100 people plus at a wedding is average. And they’re all expecting to bring their wallet to pay for a cash bar. So you get tips all night long. It's a beautiful thing. Everyone’s happy and thirsty. Then you have the summer. We have 4th of July, more soda is sold in preparation for 4th of July than any other day of the year. Oaky so, people have their backyard barbecues and their firework celebrations. They’re going to want a bartender. Halloween, huge two weeks before Halloween even Halloween night, people have big Halloween parties. They want their bartender there. Then after that, I would say about the middle of right about the end of November, people start their holiday parties, their Christmas parties and that will go through the entire month of December. And then people it will climax the biggest party day of the year which is New Years Eve. Now, the reason I told you about this is to prepare you from raising your rate. If your standard rate for the night is $175.00 to walk in the door. You need to up your price on all these days. The 4th of July, you want to spend with your friends and family. But if someone is going to give you $250.00, maybe you'll reconsider. Halloween and Christmas, those are holidays in demand. So you raise your prices. New Years Eve, triple your prices. Trust me. You will get bookings. I do it every single year. So, there you go. There’s a little bit of your mobile bartending calendar. Keep you prepared, have your increase prices in mind when people call for those parties. I'm James Wetmore. It's been another tip of the week. I'll see you next time. Take care.
