Hollyscoop.com caught up with Melissa Rycroft & husband Tye Strickland at the 17th Annual Dream Halloween CAAF Benefit. The gave us the scoop on expecting a baby girl, parenthood and more. Interviews by Lindsay Caldwell.

Melissa Rycroft Expecting A Girl! Host: Congratulations on the fun in the office. Melissa Rycroft: Thank you, thanks. Host: You guys, do you know what the gender is yet? Melissa Rycroft: It’s a little girl. Host: Oh. Melissa Rycroft: Yeah. We’re having a little Melissa which is really scary to think about. Host: Have you got a name? Melissa Rycroft: We have the name and something we’re actually going to keep between us until she’s here. But it’s pretty easy. There was in particular that we liked and it stuck in just want to become who she is. Tye Strickland: It was way too easy like we did in 30 minutes. We really like that name. We don’t agree on anything. Melissa Rycroft: I guess so. I hope so. Host: What’s the best part and the worst part of being about being pregnant. Melissa Rycroft: Best part, when everybody is so nice to you. Doors are open, chairs are pulled out behind you. You’re never hungry or thirsty. The worst part, I don’t really have control over my body. You know this little person now tells me when she’s hungry and when she’s tired. I can tell when she’s mad at me because she makes my back hurt. So it’s definitely not about me anymore already. It’s about her. Host: Do you workout while you’re pregnant? Melissa Rycroft: I’m trying to. I’ve noticed it’s slowly kind of tampering off from where I was but I’m trying to stay healthy and in shape. Host: Do you have any kind of crazy cravings at odd hours? Melissa Rycroft: No. The only thing I’m craving is snow cones, and slushy, cereal, nothing bad. Tye Strickland: We get through at least three boxes of cereal a week. Melissa Rycroft: But there are worst things that could be in here. Tye Strickland: Yeah. Just like every meal too. Host: Are you guys excited to be parents? Tye Strickland: I can’t wait. Melissa Rycroft: What’s it feel like every motion that you could feel, you’re so excited to meet her but you just wait a little bit before you come out. But it’s going to be the best thing I think that’s ever happened to our family. I can’t wait. Host: Do you guys watch any specific reality TV shows that you’re a fan of? Melissa Rycroft: All of them. Well, there’s Jersey Shore obviously, Dancing With the Stars is a must. WE still watch The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Survivor. I mean that’s pretty much all we watch, reality TV. Host: Do you have any guilty pleasures? Melissa Rycroft: Probably reality television. Host: Reality television. Melissa Rycroft: Yeah. I would think so. Tye Strickland: Probably Jersey Shore. Host: Well, it’s good that you guys are here. What inspired you to come out and show your support? Melissa Rycroft: Well this is the first time that we have been invited and had the opportunity to come. And I love getting involved where we can. We don’t live out here so when we’re out here I like to have voice music and show people. Just come, get involved and it can be fun. A little bit goes a long way with this organization. Host: What do you guys think about the whole Mel Gibson being taken off of Hangover II, like a huge movie? Everyone’s excited. What do you think? Melissa Rycroft: I don’t know. I love Hangover and I can’t wait to see Hangover II which is right to take Mel out. Probably if there were issues because he was going to be in knish in the movie and there were people that were not happy with that. Host: What do you think about recently introduced all these Hollywood bad boys? Melissa Rycroft: I don’t know. I know his ex-wife though. Denise was on my season of Dancing with the Stars. And you know what I have to pay something as to be set about that me and when both of his ex- wives go and defend him after something like this, and I think it really shows us that we don’t know what happened behind the scenes. And all we know is the hearsay and the media and there has to be more than that story if they’re both supporting him after what we heard. Host: Right. So you seem to be doing great handling it really well? Melissa Rycroft: Denise is a very good, strong woman. I learned that when I met her and when you see kind of everything she’s gone through relationship wise, personal wife and in the media, and she’s taking out in strengths. She’s stronger all the time. Host: What are you guys going to do for Halloween? Melissa Rycroft: Date night, dinner and a movie. We have very limited time where there’s just two of us left.
