Mark Zuckerberg's Roommate Competing in Olympics - as part of the news series by GeoBeats. Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerburg’s freshman college roommate at Harvard is now an Olympic athlete. Samyr Laine, who was the fourteenth person to sign up for a Facebook account, is representing his parent’s home country of Haiti in the triple jump event at the 2012 London Olympic games. On rooming with Zuckerburg, Laine said: “We had a good time our freshman year in Straus, we played a ton of PlayStation. We probably didn’t sleep nearly as much as we should have. None of us slept as little as Mark did, and now you can see why.” Although they only lived together one year the two men still talk to each other every few months. Other notables who were college roommates include late night talk show host Conan O’Brien who lived with the President of the Ford Foundation Luis A. Ubiñas. He told the New York Times that Conan was completely sober in college. Also filmmaker David Lynch roomed with rock and roll musician Peter Wolf. Lynch confronted Wolf some 20 years later about the 42 dollars in back rent that he owed him.
