Kim Klein: In this election which is very exciting what number the candidates are they doing is they are focusing on people and they are saying each person is all rating years age and you are like each of those people has one vote right? And let us just round up voters and let us ask all those voter to make whatever gift they can and that is to me more what I would focus on if I were a candidate and trying to get a few people to give a lot of money. Leila: Hi welcome to watch mojo.com I am your host Leila and with us fund raising expert Kim Klein on whatever citizen should know about election campaign fund raising and what to know about sponsorship and donors. Kim Klein: You know there is always the idea that corporation gives money to a candidate and the candidate feels obligated to pursue the agenda of the corporation you see there is a lot briefly in the environment I think. Corporation will find people and then in return there is people would not introduce environmental legislation who will vote against environmentalization this is always you know the fear that is were some candidacies if we were looking in US abroad of Buraco-Obama and Hilary Clinton and it is very broad base on particularly Obama. So that is going to help him to not have to be behold in to anyone corporation the more money a campaign has obviously more advertising they can buy and the more places they can go but if I am a voter and I am looking and thinking okay given that so much money is being dump here for example rounding spent $40 millions of his own money but I do not have much other money. When I campaign I look at the ads are they nasty? Are they [Muffled] at us so they [Muffled] insults to the other candidates even when the candidates puts forward his or her own platform it does not make sense or is it a lot of empty, you know somebody you can just make people feel good you know? Oh that let us hope, keep hope alive. Well I am in favor of hope but what is that mean? What is that mean for healthcare? What is that mean for ending the war. Look for very specific things what do they, what do they know and you can offer them to go to the website and see what do the actually say about each thing. And hold your feet to the fire about that.
