Disney's new animated 3D movie Planes tells the story of crop-dusting plane Dusty as he aims to become a racing plane despite a crippling fear of heights. Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher provides the voice of fork-lift truck Dottie and said she enjoyed being part of the film and attended a special screening of the movie at London's Leicester Square. SOUNDBITE, Teri Hatcher, actress, saying (English): "Getting asked to be part of a Disney animated film is something everyone must have on their bucket list. I love animation, I always have.... You know I remember when my daughter was a toddler and there would be weekends when I would look through the newspaper and I feel like 'oh there's nothing to go and see' and so I really like being a part of providing, you know, an outing, an experience for a family that everyone is going to enjoy." Veteran English comedy star John Cleese voices Bulldog, a racing plane with a large Union Jack painted across his nose - one of the oldest and wisest characters in the film. SOUNDBITE, Teri Hatcher, actress, saying (English): "I think you would find he's the quintessential RAF pilot from the Second World War. Stiff upper lip, never admit that you're feeling a little bit down or depressed or anything like that. Always be very positive, deeply patriotic and slightly stupid." "Planes" takes off in UK cinemas from August 16.
