I'm standing here in a beautiful kitchen, but it’s not an easy kitchen to work in, why you ask?—it’s not efficiently organized. Things that we use every single day are craned and stashed and stored all over the place. Check out this drawer, it’s a mess. Items like knives, measuring spoons and mixing spoons and spatulas are jumbled together, making it very tough to find anything. But there are some simple solutions. Let’s start with this knife block, this is a great place to store the knives, get them at the drawer and easy to get to when it’s time to cook. And storing knives in a knife block is not only safer. The knives will stay sharper. Let’s put the knife block over here next to the sink. In this way, when it’s time to prepare those vegetables and get things cut up, you’re right near the sink which makes things definitely more efficient. Let’s do the same for the utensils, we put them into this utensil holder. The utensils are stored where they’re most needed, next to the stove. And the measuring spoons that were buried, get hung on the wall. Now they’re not just pretty, they’re accessible and there is one item every bread lover should have. I’m going to place this bread box over here in the counter. It adds beauty to the kitchen but it’s also functional in storing the bread. Did you know that your bread last a lot longer in your counter in a bread box than it will in the refrigerator. And don’t store your bread in the refrigerator. And don’t store your bread in a refrigerator. The cool temperature will dry it out. Let’s check out these canisters, again, things that we use frequently, we want to make sure that we have right at our finger tips. So, you’re sugar for your morning coffee is ready to go, you don’t have to dig for in the pantry. Plus again, that adds beauty to our kitchen. And display your beautiful produce in a fruit holder. The hole allows air to circulate, so the fruit ripens evenly. But don’t place your bananas in that. You will hang them so they can ripen evenly and won’t bad, you need air to circulate around them.
