[Music Playing] What is the best way to attach wood strips to a concrete block wall? It is really not as hard as you think. One of the need things you can do is actually just use a special nail what we call cut nails to go ahead and drive those right into the masonry joints. The cut nail differs from a standard nail because it is made from much harder steel and it is much more resistant to bending. If you cannot do that, you can go ahead and use a hammer-type drill and drill a hole through the wood strip into a part of a concrete block and then take one, two or three of the cut nails together and drive those at the same time right into the hole. Now, what happens if you do not have access to any cut nails, even though they are readily available at the hardware store and you are in a pinch, you can use regular nails as long as you have a hammer drill. What is the trick there? Same thing, drill a quarter inch hole, go ahead and take two or three depending on the thickness of the shaft of the regular nail, and drive those through the wood into the hole and the concrete block or the bar joint at the same time that is the key. If you do that you will going to have a really strong connection from the wood to the masonry that last for many, many years.
