Hi everybody! I'm Melanie Raposo and welcome to Mommy's Minute. The best way to welcome the birth of a new baby is by throwing a baby shower. The purpose of a baby shower is to give gifts to the parents that the baby will need. Now, it used to be poor shower etiquette to have the mother, sister or relatives of a mother-to-be host the shower. But nowadays, pretty much anybody can throw a baby shower as long as it's not the mother-to-be. The most perfect time to throw a baby shower is usually a month before the due date, just early enough to ensure against the delivery in the middle of the shower. Now, there are three important questions you should ask yourself before planning the baby shower. First of all, will there be a theme? Will it be a surprise? And will it be coed? The answer of these three questions will radically change the feel of the shower. And once you have these questions answered, you are on your way to throw in the most perfect baby shower hour.
