My name is Janet Bodnar and I am Deputy Editor of Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine and I am also author of the book, Raising Money Smart Kids and today we are going to talk about Raising Money Smart Kids. I am going to cover a lot of different subjects, everything from allowances to credit cards, from preschoolers to teenagers. We are going to do a lot of things. I am going to give you a lot of good information I think. Good information that I have meant, from writhing about this topic since 1993. I should tell you as another part of my resume, I have three children of my own. So they have grown up with this. As I have been teaching them about money, they have been teaching me about money. So we had a lot of really good give and take and I have talked to hundreds of parents over the years and they write to me. I write a weekly column as well as the book. I write a weekly column for kiplinger.com, which is called Money Smart Kids and I write the same column for Kiplinger's magazine. So, I have heard from hundreds of parents over the years, telling me what works and what doesn't work with their kids. So today I am going to give you some practical advice that I think you will find entertaining as well. So let's get started.
