Essential information from Fine Living. Before you get your kid involved in surfing, make sure that they like and understand water and the ocean. It’s a good idea to begin with the bodyboard to get your timing of when to catch the wave. When you’re teaching your child to stand up, you want to teach them one fluid motion and not a jerky motion and not a climbing up procedure. Practice standing up and having a fluid motion when you stand up before you first initially go in the water; you can do it at your house, in your room and it will all come to you to utterly second nature. If you want to teach your child how to surf, there are a lot of resources; books, videos and the internet but you can also visit your local surf shop. You should consider somebody that’s been teaching for a while. You want to have a personal class one on one or a small class. If your child gets the right instructions starting out with surfing, they’ll have fun for the rest of their live. Find more at FineLiving.com.
