Exact measuring is key to getting perfect result when baking. You will need three types of measuring equipment, a glass or a plastic measuring cup with the spout for wet ingredients. A set of scoop-shaped cups in graduated sizes for dry ingredients and a set of measuring spoons. To measure a dry ingredient, likes all purpose flour, lightly scoop the flour into a measuring cup then run a knife along the edge to level it off. Do the same when measuring sugar, baking powder or salt. For wet ingredients like heavy cream, pour the cream into a liquid measuring cup, check your measuring cup on a counter at eye level to make sure you’re measuring accurately. Be sure you don’t use a measuring use cup intended for wet ingredients for dry ingredients. Perfect measuring means perfect result every time.
