Male Speaker: I wanted to do the pee on the stick test with her, I was going to pee on the stick, I was just going to be with her doing it and we could sit there and wait for the plus or minus or minus or 2 bars or 1 bars to show up. I wanted my life to be like one of those commercials. Male Speaker: Well my wife was in the bathroom and I heard -- Male Speaker: I was lying in bed it was about 7 in the morning. Male Speaker: We had only been trying to get pregnant for about two months. Male Speaker: One night during performance I came down in intermission for the sound booth. Male Speaker: When she called me I was like what you are going to do with toilet paper, what is the matter? Male Speaker: And I wanted to do the pee on the stick test with her. Male Speaker: Wife comes in with a little piece of plastic with some strips on it. Male Speaker: And she came up and gave me this real big hug and she whispered in ear said I am pregnant. Male Speaker: And I should point that Jodie was on the pill at the time. Male Speaker: She just jumped the gun and peed on two sticks by herself at home. Male Speaker: Go over there and I am pregnant and you know we both have a little cry there. Male Speaker: The pill I trusted I trusted in modern medicine and the Church. She says what do we do now. Male Speaker: I was like, can we two just go back to bed? Male Speaker: Oh we are in the middle of salsa, she goes guess what we are going to have baby. Male Speaker: And then she said you are going to be a dad. Male Speaker: And she is looking to me for advice that is like that first time you are now going to be a father what do you do? Go to sleep Male Speaker: And I am like the only thing that I can say was you. Male Speaker: She works in an office for a pharmacist and they knew before we did. They noticed that her face had broken out and boobs were a little bit bigger. Male Speaker: I was walking and hoping you are going to say that the pills did not work. Male Speaker: Well, the day you get off the bad, and she goes, we are going to get baby. You are not my boy. Male Speaker: Even though I am not catholic I am spending time with that monastery visiting that my sperm no longer believed in birth control. Male Speaker: And it was 7 in the morning so you know common we can celebrate later. Male Speaker: She even offered to pee on another stick so we could sit there and I am like it's not the same, it's like going to a sporting event and knowing who is going to win. Male Speaker: And that's when we went back to the house and I had some tequila. Male Speaker: You know it kind of ruined the moment for me and we kind of still talk with to this day about the fact that she stole back from that and I will never be able to get that back.
