Dr. BarryHainer: There are some things parent can do to reduce the likelihood of there child, catching or acquiring infections at school when they return in the flower especially in the winter season when we tend to have more respiratory illness. And the most common advice would be frequent hand washing so there touching surfaces that other children are touching and they can potentially acquire infections if they wash there hands especially prior to eating or putting there fingers in there mouth that can back on the liquid head of transmission of some infections. We can also teach our children to reduce the risk of spreading infections to other by for example, teaching them to either cover there nose with the tissue if they have to sneeze or there mouth if they’re coughing or to cough into there arm and help reduce the likelihood of spreading this to others if we all work teaching our children those habits we would reduce the risk of spreading infections in the classroom setting.
