Jenna Surrat: I’ve had breasts and hips contractions which are like kind of your body’s way of preparing you for labor. And I started having those probably three months ago—two or three months. And I have actually—I think I went—actually went into labor about a week and a half ago, I was like experiencing real contractions that were consistently five to ten minutes apart for about six hours, and they just kind of stop. Well breast and hip contractions, they don’t hurt at all, you really, I mean—I can feel my stomach tightening every now and then but sometimes, I mean, I can just reach down and feel my stomach and it’s super hard like hard as a rock. The actual contractions are—like I said, they’re consistently – of minutes apart, but like they would be ten minutes apart for an hour, or 5 minutes apart for an hour, and they’re more painful like make you stop like kind of take your breath away, you can’t speak through them. Of course I’ve think about it, I’d go – but I feel like the doctors are going to get me through it and I think my husband will do a great job coaching me through it but—I’m not really nervous about that, it’s more of the after-birth that worries me. You know, actually raising a child and having another life to take care of. I mean, that’s the more significant part. We don’t have like a specific laid-out plan, I’m not a post or an epidural, I’m not going to go and get one immediately just because I want to be able to move around and—Walk around because it’s, you know, moving and walking speeds up the process of labor and I’d rather not be sitting for possibly 24 hours so—I’m not a post or epidural. I’m going to just go in and I’m sure I’m going to want it, but I’m not going to get until I absolutely need it.
