Okay here is a real easy song you can learn. It is a Billy Joel song called piano man and since you are sitting on a piano or a keyboard I guess it is a good song to learn. It is actually very simple. I will go through the chords first that we are going to use and a lot of them are the same ones we have used in every song almost. I will put it into the key of C so to make it easy for you to learn, okay? Okay so we will go through the chords. First of all, grab your C note and every second note from that is what we called Brad spread so, that is your C chord, okay? Go up to your F note, same spread. There is your F chord. Go up one more to a G. Brad spread, there is your G chord. Okay go up one more to an A. Use that same spread but that is actually an Am okay or A with an m beside it, so we need that. Go back down to your E. Use the same spread and that is an E minor. Okay your E with an m beside it. And there is one other chord we are going to need. I think if you grab your D, this one is going to have a black note in it, this note and then also you’re A, okay, so D. There is your D chord. [Demonstration] And also sometimes in this song you might want to play the C chord up here or down here I guess and/or up here, okay? I guess if I were standing on my head it would be the other way around. Okay let us go through the first part of the song and I will show you how we put it together. Okay so we will start off with our right hand up here. It starts off—it is 9:00 on a Saturday, okay? I will just do the right hand first. Use which fingers are most comfortable for you starting here on this G note up here okay? Okay it goes— [Demonstration] Nice and slow here we are going only from the G, farthest down of the note, the C here okay? [Demonstration] Okay I am going to put some chords with it. We are going to go from a C down to the Em to the Am to the C down here. It may help you even write those down to if you want, your C and your E minor, Am and C. Okay so maybe it is helpful for some people to look at it too. Okay this is how we put together starting off up here okay? It is 9:00 on a Saturday. [Demonstration] There is your C, E minor, Am. [Demonstration] To C, okay. Let us do it one more time here. [Demonstration] Okay. The next part is— [Demonstration] Okay and then we are going to start off with the F chord there, down to a C and a D and up to a G. You get a lot of chords going on there so we are going to go for the F, down to your C, to your D, to your G so you want to write that down okay? And it goes like this. [Demonstration] F, C, D and a G. Then you go. It goes up to that then start that part again. Okay let us do that one more time nice and slow. Okay I will call out the chords for you again really slow here. It is 9:00 on a Saturday okay, starting on a C. [Demonstration] C, E, A minor to a C, F, C, D to a G and go here— [Demonstration] And the next part is very similar again. Okay, your C again. [Demonstration] Okay, there were different Cs in this line. You go to your F first, G, back to a C. Okay so the only difference that time was F, G and a C. You can play that back a couple of times and see it. And we will do that whole first part from scratch now, okay? And we are starting off up here okay? C chord in your left hand, C, E minor, A minor to a C, F, C, D, G. Second time through, C, E minor, A minor to a C, okay and the ending F, G to a C. Okay now we will move on to the chorus. Okay now we are into the chorus and we are going to use three chords this time. Your Am, that is your A. Brad spread that is your Am. We are going to use a D. Okay that is the one that had the black note and that is okay so you get your D, this black note and your A up here and we are going to use a G. Okay, and starting up on your right hand—it is the Da Da Da Da Di Da, whatever is he singing. I am not quite sure but it is— [Demonstration] Okay, actually pretty simple and short too. I will do it again. Okay bring some chords to it starting off with your Am here, okay. Am, D, back to your Am and your G then it goes ri
