Origami Lesson - Learn how to make a five point paper barn star.

Here I’ll show you how to make a five point barn star. You’ll need a square sheet of paper. I’m using card stock and a pair of scissors. We’ll start by folding in half to make a rectangle. Take this corner and fold up and across to the opposite edge. You’ll want to place this corner about one third or one quarter away from the top of the paper. Next, we’ll take this corner on the left and fold it over the edge we just folded. Finally, take the flap on the right and fold it over top the opposite edge. Now, we’re going to use the scissors to cut a slant from about the midpoint of this edge to the opposite corner. Now unfold the star and you're almost done. We’re going to need to fix some of these creases. All the short line should be valley folds and all the long lines should be mountain folds. And there is your barn star or as some people call it, an Amish star or sometimes a nautical star.
