A Baby Shower, it's one of the most exciting celebrations in a woman’s life. What better way to welcome your newest member of your family than by raising a glass and toasting the mom to be with a glass of free-alcohol removed wine or a non-alcoholic cocktail otherwise known as a pregatini. Hi, I'm Natalie also known as the liquid muse. As a cocktail book author, blogger and mixologist, I am always looking for new inspiration. Welcome to inspired steps with the liquid muse. Juts because you're expecting a baby doesn’t mean you have to give up all the fun. Whether in your first trimester or third, a healthful non-alcoholic pregatini can help you keep the party going throughout your entire pregnancy. I'm going to show you the Miami Mommy Mojito which was created in honor of Jennifer Lopez’ as she was expecting her twins. We start with the juice of half a lime. That’s approximately half an ounce. We squeeze this directly into a tall glass. Next, I'm adding some fresh strawberries. Now, fresh strawberries are usually found in the supermarket. But if you happen to be somewhere that doesn’t have them, you could use frozen strawberries of you have no other alternative. No, a pinch of fresh basil although mint would work perfectly well in this drink, using basil just gives it a very unique twist. Next, a bar spoonful of sugar and now we’re going to muddle it. Muddling means just pressing down gently on the ingredients already in the glass. We’re extracting the juices, not creating a pulp at the bottom of the glass. Now we’re going to fill this glass with ice. Next, we add three alcohol removed right. I love working with this line of alcohol removed wine because they actually start as wine and have the alcohol removed. So what’s left retains the characteristics of the great variety. They’re delicious on their own. They’re also a great place for non-alcoholic cocktail. Finally, a little splash of lemon-lime soda and we’re going to give this a stir. It's a beautiful easy-to-make tasting non-alcoholic drink for your baby shower. If you want to find more celebrity inspired non-alcoholic cocktail, just take a peak at the celebrity baby pregatini section of my book. Pregetinis, for the mom-to-be. Cheers!
