I am Nancy McBride, I am with the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, and today we are going to be talking about school safety. How kids can get to and from school, more safely? I will be giving you tools and resources and tips you can discuss with your own children, and I would like you to take a moment to think about what you were taught, as a child, about safety, was it, never talk to strangers, don t take candy from strangers? , Is this an effective safety messaging for our kids today? We will be talking about that as well. I have been with the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children since 1990, and I have been working in this industry for over 20 years. I have written a number of publications and a number of articles on the issues of child safety, and I want to share some of that with you today so that you as a parent or guardian can help your kids stay safer. So, let s get started talking about school safety.
