Jay Manuel: Hey! I’m Jay from style her famous. I’m going to teach you how to get Sarah Jessica Parker’s makeup look using pinks and bronzers. Take a look. Eye shadow grabs better when it’s sitting on foundation as opposed to right on the skin. Our eyelids tend to be the oiliest place on our face. If we put eye shadow straight onto it, you can almost make like a congealed kind of paste as opposed to having a pretty eye shadow. I really, I mean, when I’m not doing anything that’s difficult here. Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: I’m just placing this really soft eye dust and pink eye shadow all over your lid. Claire Dixon: You know what I have problems with? Jay Manuel: What? Claire Dixon: When I try to do my, I can’t wink. Jay Manuel: So you can’t close one lid and. Claire Dixon: I can hold one lid down with the finger. Jay Manuel: If you have a problem, kind of working on your lid, the best thing to do is to tip your head back and look down. Here it goes. Then what happens is your lids will be flat and you can keep your eyes open. Claire Dixon: Like that. Jay Manuel: Yap. Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: It makes sense? Claire Dixon: Yeah. Jay Manuel: Feels really right. Claire Dixon: Wow, okay. Jay Manuel: The best way to make your eyes to not tears, open your mouth actually, just wide and if you dry your mouth out, it actually dries your nose and tear ducts out. Claire Dixon: Oh my God, that’s interesting. Jay Manuel: It’s something that it really works because if you do this, it actually make some tear more. Remember we talked about using bronzer just along the cheek. If you’re on, I’m just using this, here is your cheekbone right here. Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: Do you feel how this is the only place I’m using bronzer? Do you feel that? Claire Dixon: Yes. Jay Manuel: So what we’re doing is, this is your bone right? So literally, all I’m doing is kind of pushing it in your temple and underneath the bone, that’s all I’m doing, it’s really easy. Think of it, almost like a little check mark. Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: Makeup should always compliment you and not your clothes. Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: Does that make sense? That doesn’t mean that if you’re wearing black, you can’t wear black eye shadow because black eye shadow can bring out your eyes. Do you know what I’m saying? Claire Dixon: Okay. Jay Manuel: But you wouldn’t necessarily wear, you know pink lips or pink eyes because you’re wearing a pink dress. You could be wearing this and be wearing any other color. I was very careful about what I used on you. I didn’t want to do any complicated eye shadow techniques, it’s really just a soft wash of color, mascara and then just a little bit of the shimmer and blush and lipstick. And that’s all it takes to get Sarah Jessica Parker’s look.
