The always chic and stylish Nicole Richie is known for her boho chic vibe and trendsetting style. Her milkmaid braids – also seen on Heidi Klum and Lauren Conrad – look cute and easy enough to try at home, so we asked her Celebrity Secret Weapon, hairstylist Byron Williams at the Byron & Tracey Salon, to show us how to get her signature hairstyle.

Zelana: I’m Zelana your Bella TV correspondent and today I’m going to show you how to get Nicole Ritchie’s signature braids. With the wonder warming up, its time to get creative with pretty up two’s so we asked her hairstylist Byron Williams to show us how to get her famous Bojo braids. He claims it’s easy to recreate so after he had done lose it, I’m going to put him to the test and try it out on my self. Byron: This is how you get Nicole Ritchie’s braided luck. We part in the middle all the way to the neck and then make it two pig tail. You really don’t have to have a clean hair to achieve this look, it actually works better when it’s a little dirty. And you braid all the way to the end and lock it in with rubber bands. So you have two braided pig tails now this is the part where you can be creative with it. You actually over lapped them and make it into a head band. so you lock them in with bobby pins so find that section with the rubber band hair and just lock it in with the bobby pin and then you kind of shape in with bobby pin wherever you needs to make it flatter and make it fatter and make it however the braid that you want to be. That’s it, this is one of Nicole Ritchie’s signature braid lock. Zelana: Now that Byron showed us how to get this look, let’s see if I can recreate at home. Seems easy enough to do at home, but for a more polish look I can see why Nicole turns to the pros. Thanks Byron for showing us the ropes.
