I installed Amarok I wanted to try some sinking features but I encountered a problem and the problem was it wasn’t detecting my iPod or whatever I have. Right now, this is Amarok and if we go to devices here and usually you just click on connect and it will connect but see I get this stupid shit, I don’t even know what the hell to do with this so okay cancel that shit, alright. And what you do to fix this is you got to go settings and then go to configure Amarok. And in here, you click on the media devices, okay. And usually, if you click auto-detect and it works, then you’re done. But if it doesn’t like my shit, you have to click on add devices. And here you have a few options. See they have iPod, Creative and all that. The MTP is for devices like Sansha, some devices you have to enable the MTP mode within your device and stuff because by default they have MSC and that’s not what you want. You want to change that to MTP and that will let you connect to your computer, okay. That’s on my Sansha, that’s just how it is. Just be aware of that if you have an MTP device okay but since I have an iPod, that’s all I have to check for alright. And what’s the name of my device? My name is Gobletu and this is—see this is where—enter where the mount point is. Now, when you connect your device it’s usually mounted already but Amarok for some reason, it doesn’t detect it but I know where it is. It’s in—you know it’s connected right here alright. So, you click on this or whatever device you have and all you have to do is copy this path okay and that is your mount path or whatever, your mount point to me. You paste that shit in and you click OK. And there you go. So now, we have our name and our device here and just apply and OK and that’s it. And you see I have my playlist and everything now from my iPod, alright. Okat, that’s it. So, that’s how you would you know add a device in manually with Amarok if the auto-detect does not work okay. So, problem is solved bitch.
