How to Choose an Artist's Easel On behalf of Tvlessson.com, my name is Angeline-Marie. I'm a professional artist with Angelinemarie.net. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to choose an easel. I have four easels with me. This is the best type to buy, strong, easy to adjust. I want to adjust it up or down. It’s very smooth. It’s very easy and it locks in place. So, if you want to sit, you can sit. If you want to stand, you can stand. You're going to look for a lip so that your canvas stays on. This piece up here, sometimes I use it, sometimes I don’t, locks in the canvas so it doesn’t move, very handy when you're painting outside, wood solid construction, nice and solid on the ground. This is my favorite type of easel. The easel next to it, again, it really doesn’t matter the material but the first one I showed is the best. This is metal. It’s very easily folded away. Just unscrew, fold it up. This one fits great in a corner when you're not using it. Again, you're going to look for this canvas holder to move up and down so you can sit yourself in front of it or you can stand in front of it. This one’s great to put away easily. The next easel is this wood one. This one’s not as simple to move. That’s not my favorite. It has good solid construction. It will stay in place when you put the canvas on it. You don’t need the little locker on the top as I like to call it, little locker. This one folds away pretty easily. It’s sturdy. It will stay where it needs to go. This one’s a little limited and that you have to either stand or sit. The canvas’ height is limited too. That’s what’s great about the first one. It doesn’t matter how large the canvas is. The last type I want to show is the table easel. This one fits on a table as you can see. We have it on a --, folds up flat, put it away, good and sturdy, you don’t need to lock it up. You are limited to small canvasses. On behalf of Tvlesson.com, this is Angeline-Marie. Thank you for watching.
