Welcome Tekzilla Daily, I'm Patrick Norton. Not too long ago we received this plea for help for Manny in the UK. He wrote in, “How do you change the default search engines in Safari’s built-in search toolbar? It's set at Google.com. I want it set to Google.co.UK. Well, unfortunately there's no built-in way to set Safari search engine which sucks. But coincidentally we received this email from Aaron with an answer. He writes in, “Like everybody else, I recently upgraded Safari to version four. But I was getting frustrated by the restricted search field. I could only search Google, no IDB, no Amazon, no eBay and you get the idea. That's when I found Glimpse. it's a free add-on that works with Safari 3 and 4 which allows you to specify your search engine provider and a whole lot more even a full screen kiosk mode. Check it out www.Machangout.com.” Thanks Aaron. Glimpse is a neat little tool that adds tons of features to Safari including thumbnails research results. Search suggestions that you type in the toolbar and undo close tab feature and much more. Now Manny you can indeed finally add any search engine you want. Just click Safari in the menu bar then preferences and you'll see Glimpse panel. Click search engines on the side and from there you can edit existing entries or add new ones. That’s what we do here at Tekzilla Daily connect the questions with the answers.
